can't remember how i found this, but it is a really great 5 track album. abriction does carry a little though

Beautifully haunting emo shoegaze that paints a world full of despair for more than an hour straight. I found sadness's side of the EP good but it does perhaps run a bit too long and too thin at times, however abriction.. good lord, they go 3/3 here with the final track EASILY being one of the strongest releases of the year so far with many fantastic segments all creating different atmostpheres and solid song writing, its a moment of sheer brilliance that any gazer NEEDS to check out

A rare case of a sadness split not being lopsided, arguably overtaken by it's collaborator the upcoming musical chameleon turned blackgaze act abriction whos album from earlier this year I enjoyed a lot albeit felt like it overstayed it's welcome. I think they hit the nail on the head here. There doesn't seem to be a dichotomy here anywhere that makes me mentally prioritize longer tracks which was my main gripe with "interstates." Probably the album I'm most glad to have listened to this year. sadness // abriction is a bundle of lengthy shoegaze-y emo tracks that sound as if they've been left out in the sun for too long. abriction keeps pace with sadness remarkably well too, more than most artists Damian has collaborated with. I won't deny that there is meandering happening throughout some tracks, but I've accepted that I love just about every moment presented here.
