Beyond the Fleeting Gales is yet another album that I've heard a lot of good things about, but never actually listened to. It's a very enjoyable listen that flip flops from every subgenre of pop music imaginable, and it's a lot of fun. Hot DAMN this is catchy! And the vocals are really nice, they add a dream pop flair to some of the songs at their most relaxing.

This could straight up be a Playstation 2 or Dreamcast game OST.
Surfacing away from their chiptune ways, Crying's latest release Beyond the Fleeting Gates, is still as infectious as ever. Not separating themselves from their roots, their new progressive pop style is still as catchy and math-y, but their debut LP is like a new reincarnation to the music their loyal bandcamp fan base may be used to. Goodbye chiptune hello, well quite a lot actually. Crying pumped their debut record with as much stylistic inspiration from 90s indie and alternative rock and pop as they could feasibly fit into 34 minutes. The result is a wonderful and adventurous record that envelops you in a warm sense of comfort and bliss. The vocals, a standout feature for the band in general, are absolultely fantastic here.
