'Freak Out!' is quite an interesting record from The Mother's of Invention/Frank Zappa. The sheer weirdness and zany nature of this album is pretty charming to say the least, sometimes it has a part to play in it's downfall a bit but it's very enjoyable nonetheless. These instrumentals combine with the satirical and often political lyrics in the best of ways and makes 'Freak Out!' a unique experience of a record.

Frank Zappa's debut album and also the debut album of Mother Of Invention is one of the most important albums for music
It didn't inspire a lot of people like TVU&N did but it a great album in general and Freak Out! Is highly regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time for the reason it started the career of one of the most influential musicans of all time

I might have a little bit of an unpopular opinion here, but I did not love this album. Something about it hasn't aged well...

Being Zappa's first album, it was clear from the get-go the insane amount of eclectic experimentation that manifests itself in the music, but honestly this was one of the reasons I didn't love it. In there debut album Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention mix fairly normal 60’s rock with quite odd and out-there music. For the first 11-12 tracks they are fairly normal, exception Who Are The Brain Police, a song that, in simple terms sounds like a very high and paranoid person rambling on about his anxieties just to be cut off by feeling he is going die with very strange instrumentation, especially compared to the last few songs.
