Violent Femmes' "Violent Femmes", the debut and best album of this band, which has become legendary, is a masterpiece of anticonformism and rebellion. These three "Femmes" from Milwaukee, who, by the way, are not violent but full of energy, have realized the strength of simplicity and used it so aptly in their debut, a collection of catchy, folk-punk tunes that forced everybody, tenagers and adults, to get up and look for blisters in the sun.
