NME
Bridging inventive production, confident lyricism, and delightful sonics, it shows off the genius and depth of their cohesive partnership; long may it continue.

The Line of Best Fit
With the creative flair that both of these artists possess, this album could have gone in any direction, but this way just feels right. An assured and confident debut and packed to the brim with style, it is equal parts familiar just as it is surprising.
80
Clash
Hearing KAYTRANADA experiment more with hip-hop facing sounds is exciting, the producer potentially teasing more rap collaborations, and Aminé is as charming as ever throughout the entire project.

Slant Magazine

Kaytraminé boasts a contagious whatever-happens-happens attitude that encapsulates the freedom of summer.

Exclaim!
For the most part, the pair manage to recapture the magic of those early mixtape moments while showcasing how much sharper they've both gotten since. It's a short, sweet, summer-ready record, released at the perfect time.

The Telegraph
Kaytraminé make a joyful and entertaining listen, but risk dating the record in years to come. Perhaps Kaytraminé won’t be coming for the throne, but they’ll certainly be the kings of summer.

American Songwriter
Impressing as always, with no need to shake off any rust, Aminé’s light-hearted, yet sharp and playful, earnest bars are able to flow over multiple different sub-genres of beats his instrumentalist provides.

The Observer

Featuring bright melodies and rhythmic spaciousness, Celestin’s productions are an ideal fit for rappers to riff on, and his latest album sees him collaborating with MC Aminé as Kaytraminé, creating 11 tracks of effortless, hip-hop-inflected club jams.

Pitchfork
Kaytranada and Aminé team up for a set of sunny, funky party tracks best experienced with a Mai Tai in hand.
70
HipHopDX

Despite the middling lyricism, Kaytraminé finds a way to carry itself to the finish line thanks to Kaytranada’s vibrant palette of instrumentals and Aminé’s high-octane energy.

AllMusic

Clearly Kaytraminé is meant as music to vibe to, not something to overthink or take too seriously.

Everyone saying that they're disappointed needs to listen to this on a speaker on a sunny day and not in the corner of your dark stuffy room with your headphones on.

OMG THIS IS THE BEST KAYTRAMINE ALBUM SO FAR 🔥🔥🔥

OMG THIS IS THE WORST KAYTRAMINE ALBUM SO FAR 🤢🤢🤢

I do have to say, this shit right here is a vibe. The sample chops on the production add a necessary element that is the core of this up tempo, clean, and funky beat that Amine kind of just coasts on. I can’t say I hate Amine’s performance on this, I just don’t love it either. His derivative flow and lyrics kind of bring down the quality of Kaytanada’s ... read more
