8.5 - Amazing

Now, everyone say it with me.

TWO TRUCKS HAVING SEX! TWO TRUCKS HAVING SEX!

It’s no surprise by now that I am a fan of Neil Cicierega. My reviews for his works have stayed extremely high, except for Mouth Dreams which has definitely genres off me with time, but other than that, his work has an amazing sense of wonder. So much personality oozes out of his work on albums like Spirit Phone and Mouth Moods, and although they are quite different, the two still having an insane ... read more

EDIT 3 (10/25/19): FAVORITE EP OF ALL TIME

I thought I'd take the time between being locked into genre challenge slavery to update a few albums' scores. Nature Tapes was the very first project that came to mind. In the time since I reviewed this...for the second time...I came to the realization that this is one of my favorite projects of all time, and easily my favorite EP ever released. I am being blackmailed into listening to the whole Lemon Demon discography because I said Pavement was better than Modest Mouse

Edit: This is genuinely one of the best albums I've ever heard

It's a small collection of strange, nerdy, pop-culture filled post punk jams, that talks about everything from sex to identity crisis to fame to the film Jaws. At 25 minutes it doesn't overstay it's welcome, and there are solid tunes here, making this one of the better Lemon Demon releases in a long while.

Favorite Jams: Everybody Loves Raymond, My Trains, Goosebumps

Lest Favorite: Brodyquest
