How would the sound of sheer beauty be?
How could the fulfilling emptiness feel?
How could you face yourself?
Tranquil soundscapes to search for answers.

It's a testament of intimacy and decadence, one that makes evident the time and patience put into this album, and one that yields extraordinary results.

I've come to love the element of patience Talk Talk implemented into their music. Like Mark Hollis said, every single note has a role and it has to be hit at the right time, otherwise it has no impact. Every single note has its own purpose. I think his whole "music mentality" comes to life on Spirit of Eden more than any other Talk Talk record.
