Trust me, I like this album just as much as the next guy...just not as much as I love other Slipknot albums. It's more vulnerable than the average 'Knot album, and it's got plenty of fan favorites that I adore.

Slipknot Vol. 3 is certainly not as good as their previous albums, but that doesn't take away from it being a great album.
One of the things that I like more about this album is that I think that the vocal performance is probably the best so far. I think the more subdued Corey Taylor is, the heavier certain songs hit, and that may be one of the reasons why some of their previous songs didn't stick with me.

Not as good as their previous 2 albums, but that’s hard to top. It’s much more experimental and still has some fantastic songs on it. Three nil, duality, pulse of the maggots, and especially vermillion pt1 and 2 are all fantastic examples of what Slipknot can do.
