AYUH! AYUH! IT'S LINCOLN TIME!

Lincoln sees They Might Be Giant's trademark goofball songwriting and melody creating to a whole new level. If you thought their debut was good then you'll love this album. Thankfully, I did enjoy their self titled debut a good bit. I did feel as if it had some glaring flaws but overall I thought it was a pretty nice record to have on. It had some fun tunes but other tracks felt a bit forgettable.

A collection of short jazz/ folk alternative rock which didn't blow me away but was an enjoyable and interesting listen.

On my life few records better exemplifies the paranoia of the CIA's playground in the wake of the jfk assassination. The weight and burden of total paranoia and insanity evolves to a place where if you don't laugh you'll cry. Tmbg gets that better than anyone else.

TMBG Album Reviews, Part 2 of 15

The Johns successfully dodge the sophomore slump with this 1988 goodness which is most decisively better than the 1986 self-titled. The instrumentation is better on here, the songs are better than the simple tunes of the Pink Album, the Johns' voices are more developed, and it's overall mixed better than the first time around. Most people would know this track from the great opener Ana Ng, but there are other tracks on here that deserve more love, like Purple ... read more

8 years into the 80s, the music culture had had its fair share of silly acts. Nevertheless, goofy New York pop rock band They Might Be Giants found originality in their musical apparatus.

FAVORITE TRACKS: COWTOWN; LIE STILL, LITTLE BOTTLE; CAGE & AQUARIUM; SANTA'S BEARD; KISS ME, SON OF GOD.
