QUICK THOUGHTS: The freshman album from New Order has an overarching feeling of anti-climactic-ism and melancholy. Vocals lack much of any life, wondering lost into the mix behind the layers of instrumentation. The record has scattered moments of excellence, but it's significantly outnumbered by moments that aren't particularly memorable.

BEST TRACKS: SCENES, CHOSEN TIME

You can clearly see that they didn't had created their famous synthpop sound yet and it still pretty much sounds like Joy Division, but it's a pretty solid record in general.
