If I didn't know who Charles was while listening to this record I'd still unironically enjoy it. But I feel like this album holds more weight on the listener when they understand and read into how awful this man's life was.

It's very creepy with the context of what he did later in his life. Lots of foreshadowing involved, even in the album title, whether it was intentional or not.
