Perhaps it’s asking too much of Lil Durk to perfectly express his grief. ‘Almost Healed’ feels like a necessary part of his process; at its best, it’s a dark, moving work by one of drill’s most technically gifted MCs.
When Almost Heated gets introspective, it's good, but it's a bummer that's not very often.
Lil Durk carefully crafts one of the albums released in 2023, where he raps and performs with other artists.
The intro is horrible, and is a super weak way of addressing Von, and the rest of the project is just a lot of mid.
Not horrible, just really mid.
I didn't really want to review this album but I will anyway, Idk why because fuck me I guess. ππ©Έ
This is my first album from the one and only, The man, The myth, The legend, Lil Durk!!! And its boring as shit. I wasn't expecting too much, But it seemed like this project is trying to be serious according to the album cover and the names of some of the songs, So I thought it might surprise me, It didn't.
Listen, I don't give a shit how meaningful and deep this album is trying to be if the ... read more
Absolutely atrocious, all the way through. A few good beats here and there like Put Em On Ice, but most of these beats aren't good, but the worst part of it are easily the vocals. They're so boring, Durk doesn't stand out one bit with anything, he doesn't have any interesting qualities as a rapper, his lyrics are horrible, his flows are boring, and the melodies are absolutely nowhere. Also, "All My Life" is a contender for the worst song that dropped this year. Those children's vocals ... read more
I can't stand for this shit anymore. Lil Durk has been one of the most overrated rappers since he got bumped into a new tax bracket via Drake. I genuinely cannot believe people still give him a chance cause he is so awful. The production, which is what I heard people hyping up, is nothing more than lackluster AT BEST and garbage at worst. The features are barely anything interesting ESPECIALLY that cliche J. Cole verse. I hope this shit bricks.
