It has been a while since I last listened to Chamber, and this record didn't disappoint me in the slightest. Although a bit too samey, A Love to Kill For features almost 30 minutes of non-stop chaos, with some occasional, really atmospheric sections that prepares you for the incoming mayhem from each single track. Really solid stuff.
2023 Has been quite an outstanding year for hardcore releases, and it's yet to show any signs of stopping.
This is another great example of some classic hardcore that's just really tight and really heavy. 14 tracks combine for only around 29 minutes of runtime, keeping things quick and to the point. Pretty cool metalcore LP with mathcore influence!
Yeah, I agree with all the other reviews, the songs are not that varied, especially in the beginning I felt like the first three or four songs were kinda the same: you have those loud guitars and guttural vocals, amplified by the classic metalcore production which make everything abrasive and louder, heavier and edgier; coupled with the high guitar dissonant notes and electric noises from the mathcore, and that's pretty much all.
