Great funk out of Ohio, much more than just the smash hit single "Play That Funky Music (White Boy)". They seemingly brewed up the "electrified funk" sound out of nowhere, and it sounds like Ohio. Garage gritty electric sound and played anywhere people are dancing still to this day, and is a huge influence on music.
Funk is always fun. It's a genre that always rides the horse of good mood and this album is no exception.
The album opens with the well-crafted classic hit "Play That Funky Music", with "Don't Go Near the Water" and "Nowhere to Run" as the only two other songs that stick out in an album otherwise full of fillers.
