does anyone else feel like Am I Dreaming almost harkens a nostalgic late 2000s-early 2010s pop rap sound? Not so much the production per-se, but Roisee's poppy chorus and the specific flows Rocky went for in the verse give me that kinda vibe personally.

Now that I've let it simmer overnight, this is definitely one of the few new movies that I'd say really lives up to the hype. From a visual perspective, it's seriously a contender for top 5 best animated movie of all time, and you could make a strong argument for it being top 1. Just a shame the story is unfinished, because it's kinda difficult talking about a movie when you've only seen half of it.

That said, yes, the controversy was correct: this IS half a movie. No, it's not that it ended on a cliffhanger. Cliffhangers often come at the end of a movie. Literally none of the storylines set up throughout the film were finished. It was just setting up storyline A and B and the cliffhanger starting C.

ok, but i prob will go watch this this week or smth. if not, i'll just wait til streaming. it put me off a fuck ton finding out this is just setting up a sequel. I loved the first one BECAUSE it was a standalone movie without starting a whole franchise. this being a big build up just saps my enthusiasm tbh

You could go out and watch Spider Man 3681 Back to the Multiverse Again

OR you could stay at home and watch the entire Godzilla & His Wacky Friends franchise!

i feel like if i listen to this without the movie it’s not going to be the same, in my experience - (this is how it usually is), movie soundtracks don’t hit the same without the movie’s context.

I don't get the hype about this film, i think that first movie is better, it wasn't as that loong for no reason and it wasn't kind of dumb to end this movie in that one moment when real action of the movie just starts. . Also, the beginning of it to me sucks in comparision to idk. the middle of the movie for example, that to me is fucking amazing and if movie could handle this overall goodness of a middle, it really could be a even a 10/10 movie. I LOVE HOW MORALES GLOW UP IN COMPARISION TO THE FIRST MOVIE. Plus, why the fuck they are like here 6 songs from metro's soundtrack in movie 😭 And why tf there are like a lot of random trash as a music in a movie too. AND WHY THEY CUT SOME OF THIS REALLY DOPE SONGS TO PLAY THEM FOR LIKE 30sec
