in high school in 1975 I was scared to death of this album and their previous song "Fire". the songs seemed to me at the time so threatening and sinister. funky and exciting, yes, but in an odd, terrifying way, not like the more sedate tunes on the radio of the time, and I don't mean the urban legend stuff. it was the sound, so bold and aggressive (to me). it made me afraid, and I loved it.
