God Is in the TV

I personally fail to see how this album will do anything but propel this incredible band beyond anything that they have achieved before.

Backed by some of the finest musicianship, lyricism and foresight UK rock has seen in generations, it’s a thrilling prospect to think about how they could evolve next.

Wow. Sensational album, might even be the best alt rock albums I've listened to for years. Every song has its strengths, the clean and low vocals are great, the high notes are there, the energy is good, this has a bit of originality even though the recipe is simple, but it's sooo well-made I have to applause that. The last song is a hella masterpiece, so well written and powerful, I cried a bit on it lmao.

Congrats, buying my ticket for them and Thornhill in Paris asap :)

This album is pretty good, the singles didn't catch me as much as I anticipated (except A Crooked Melody). I still prefer The Greatest Mistake of My Life as a whole, but this is a solid continuation. It's more mature, the songs are very well written and the vocals shine a lot on this record.

Update- more good than last time

my god, I haven't enjoyed a rock record this much in a while

The Noble Art of Self Destruction is the 3rd album from alt rock outfit "Holding Absence" now i'll be completely honest I haven't heard of them until now, but this album pushed alllll the right buttons for me this is really a great sound

Some truly beautiful and emotional songs. Great for driving and reflecting.

The band's previous album, The Greatest Mistake Of My Life, is a masterpiece to me and one of my favorite albums ever, so it's hard for me to not compare this album to that when, despite still being a good album, it's a noticeable step down. One downside that lowers the album down a notch is the overall production. The previous one sounded perfect to me production-wise, while in comparison, the vocals are more buried in the mix here and it the sound of this album is quieter and more muddled ... read more

A pretty solid and enjoyable alt rock project where there are some really nice goals throughout it and the instrumentals also do there thing on most of the tracks. This project is just pretty dang good.
