Taylor's sense of wounded hopelessness ... struck a chord with music fans, especially because of its attractive mixture of folk, country, gospel, and blues elements, all of them carefully understated and distanced.

This is a hard album to argue with; it does a good job of proving that his first effort was no fluke. This one gets off the ground just as nicely, as Taylor seems to have found the ideal musical vehicle to say what he has to say.

'Sweet Baby James' is an excellent blend of folk, country and blues. The songwriting is simple and easy, and James Taylors voice is silky smooth. Not to mention the song Fire and Rain is a classic, this record makes for some sweet listening.

James Taylor entregou sentimentalidade em 'Sweet Baby James', um disco de folk-rock e country. As composições refletem a qualidade artística de James, que usou melodias super cativantes pra entregar a perfeição por completo.

I havent to anything this simple in a hot minute, wheres the electronic drones, wheres the shoegaze, wheres the distortion!!!

In all seriousness tho, this is some mellow background music to listen to after a hard day. Its not my type of music tho, thats my only problem, the songwriting is great and the production is sweet however, good easy album to listen too.

Boring, Christian, hillbilly, boomer music. Some catchy tunes and nice melodies, but overall not my vibe at all. Uninteresting. Fav songs: sweet baby james
