It's a magnificent yet somehow subtle work of genius that delivers its strange message with incredible innovation and an inspiring feeling of a groundbreaking mission accomplished.

The music is supple, and often absolutely inspiring; however, the lyrics, frequent spoken-word passages, and hymns are often deadening. Lift to Experience simply sprawl like prairies, and maybe like Texas: there's simply too much of it.

For all the scary notes it sounds ... ‘The Texas Jersualem Crossroads’ makes this vale of tears an infinitely more fascinating place.

The songs churn, evolving from deft little rhythms to messy hymns of operatic proportions. Pearson's voice is gorgeous, but with lyrics full of blood and judgment, the beauty is obscured by a fundamentalism that lacks humanity, while the band's overwhelming belief in themselves... is tiring.

The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads is a 94-minute post-rock/shoegaze epic of Josh T. Pearson's creation. It's one of the strangest albums I've heard, and definitely fit the idiom ''don't judge a book by its cover'' as it has one of the most jaw-droppingly hilarious album covers ever. The album is jam-packed with Christian themes, which combine in odd fashion with the post-rock sounds of crashing guitars. The album helps forge this patriotic country-like atmosphere that compliment the drone-like ... read more

Nobody expects to hear a Post-Rock album with Shoegaze influences viewing this cover.

If there is one "category of music" that has existed for several centuries and is still present today, it is of course the different "currents" of religious music. Moreover, when the term "religious music" is used, it is important to specify that it is music totally dedicated to "sacred words". Because in reality it is very easy to make the distinctions, because many songs/compositions today include words, ... read more

This cover is absolutely wild. It is nothing like the music at all and I have actually known of the existence of this album for quite some time, but I never really gave it a listen. Now, I finally came around to it and this is nothing shy of extraordinary. The underlying theme around this album is religion, particularly Christianity, and I have never heard a "Christian" album this good. It's awesome.

This is not normal post-rock or shoegaze, it's a quite different than what i was ... read more

Wtf were they thinking with that cover? Like every time I went to look at the lyrics I couldn’t help but laugh at just how bad it is lmao. So yeah, this is it, the famous “shoegaze post-rock album with that cover that not only screams graphic design is my passion, but also makes you think you’re gonna listen to the worst country album ever” and yeah, it’s amazing lmao. Conceptually, it’s very weird, with this whole idea of Christ coming back and Texas being ... read more
