Denison Witmer is an easily enjoyable album that stays on the softer side of the fence for the majority of its duration, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t powerful moments.
Even with his diary-like, self-conscious confessions, Witmer knows who he is and remains much more kinetic than his semi-somber tunes.
This record probably won’t change the world in the manner that Van Gogh’s art did, but fans of quiet, unfussy acoustic music will find much to enjoy.
