After a rather disappointing album in Naked and Warm, Bill Withers immediately ups the tempo on his sixth album Menagerie with one of his biggest hits, Lovely Day. The song is one of his all-time classics, with incredible energy and groovy bass lines, that helped bring Withers out of relative obscurity.

Many likely love this album for that track alone, but someone who may enjoy the more bubbly and energetic Withers would likely enjoy the entirety of this record. There is some heavy funk ... read more
