+ In general, nice work
+ Pleasant after 1 or 2 listenings

- He sings to the same way during the entire album
- Generic sounds which are mixed and stuck with some mediocre glue
- Awfull cover

The first few tracks on this album somehow irritate me to strange levels, and I really found the opening 4 tracks on this album actively unpleasant. That being said, after that, things get a lot better, and "Our First Fight" is one of my favorite songs of the year so far. I have no idea how to properly rate this as a result of its inconsistency, so I guess a C grade by American standards feels right.

Jens Lekman’s Life Will See You Now is a great, straightforward, optimistic album, which will make you want to go dance your common daily life away.

Listening to Lekman’s latest LP feels like both a fairytale and its opposite. It keeps you down-to-earth, while encourages you to enjoy your life. It’s an album about daily struggles, but not minding them; about being sentimental, yet happy and joyous. It tells you that it’s all to party and dance, while having common ... read more

Even though lyrics may seem too conversational at times, it’s all part of his genuine presentation highlighted by the accessible acoustic guitar combining with several different instrumental textures that captured attention and engagement. My Score: 136/180 (Solid) = 7.6/10

If this doesn't make you happy I don't know what will. A bit weaker in the second half but that could be because the first half is so strong.

Fav tracks: Evening Prayer, Hotwire the Ferris Wheel

This is very tongue and cheek, but not in a way that gets really annoying because it seems like the artist doesn't take seriously anything, Lekman knows what he's talking about it's just he prefers to tell stories in a lighter mood. Sometimes the sound doesn't work out too much and kind of gives the awesome lyrics a confusing impression, however I must admit that I was captivated by the diversity of sounds he pulls off here, even if some of them feel a bit like nostalgia or filling the nowadays ... read more

Pleasant for the first few listens but it gets kinda boring pretty soon.

"Not a word is spoken, not a blink of an eye
And in my head my thoughts go nuts
Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut
Maybe our love was hanging by a thread
Shouldn't have showed you how I really felt"

"God, I wish that you would just look at me
Then I feel your hand under the table
And you smile the smile that only you smile
And you mouth out "I love you"
The way a parent spells out ice cream:
"I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U," like there's kids in the room, woo ... read more

I don't really find his voice very captivating on these tracks, I admire how diverse and eclectic it is instrumentally, but overall I don't really have much desire to return to it again in the future.

Jens Lekman retains his trademark lyricism and melodicism he so expertly exhibits on "Night Falls Over Kortedala" while wisely moving into a slightly dancier indie pop sound that prevents him from simply repeating that album. It suits him surprisingly well and makes for a very fun yet also intelligent album.

Tails off a bit at the end, but this is a pretty fun pop album

This is an eclectic and interesting listen, and one that shows evolving maturity with every passing song.

A produção deste disco é realmente ... read more
