Magic and Medicine given the 2003 scene doesn't seem to have done anything immensely crazy except add to one of my favorite era's in music, which a lot find to be droning (post-Radiohead rock is what I am referring to). The organ keys and reverb guitar hopping to and from blues just makes me feel like The Coral was just very influenced by many DIFFERENT artists in a sense, and it all comes out in a blur here.

Surprisingly enough i actually found this better than their debut.
Their debut whilst not inherently bad (i mean, its good enough for me to own on cd), but it felt lacking in something. I cant say this album is what that album was missing, but i can say that its a risk that was worth taking.
The Sophomore attempt has very little in common with the debut which i respect and it actually turned out better in my opinion. The albums big hit Pass it on remained my favourite throughout my listening on ... read more
