Nowadays, it's a sad truth that people overlook one of the most remarkable persons within the hip hop/R&B-spectrum...

Missy was really out there with good songwriting, charisma and a fresh, innovative sound made by Timbaland...

Maybe not for everyone; it's a sound you get used to...and maybe dated to some due to the rapid cut her career as an artist experienced, but her albums made waves for good reason...
This album is straight up *stoned.* Not like Cypress Hill or Redman, where it's really weird and wonky the whole time. It's just really.. laid back, straightforward, wavy. The pose Missy is making, on the cover? That's what you're supposed to look like when you listen to it. Chill out, relaxed. Nowhere to hurry, nothing crazy. It's a mood I can appreciate, and Missy's a cool enough MC for it. Timbaland stays consistent too!
Her first ever release really brought Missy into the forefront as one of the Queens of hip-hop but also Timbaland as one of the most prevalent producers of the 1990s and early 2000s. Overall a fun ride. Listen to: The Rain, Hit 'Em Wit Da Hee, Sock it 2 Me, Pass de Blunt.
Her best project I was begging for a song to hate but every song was amazing especially pass da blunt and that song with Lil Kim The Queen Bee
