The History of the Albums - n°202

Personally I’m rarely a fan of 100% instrumental popular music (Rock, R&B etc..). It's a very difficult art to master in this case, which I don't often find up to the task, because originally all these musical genres were created with lyrics because they are very important. This was made in the 60's!? It sounds like I remember it so clearly but this is only my first time listening. Ignoring stuff like the fact a lot of these moments were sampled, this sounds like pop culture distilled. When I first heard Mo' Onions I thought I switched over to listening to some video game's soundtrack somehow. Like it was a shopkeeper's theme.

It's fun, it's a little goofy, it's something to vibe along with. As far as instrumental soul goes I think Green Onions succeeds pretty greatly.
