Yes, its psychedelic trappings tie it forever to 1967, but the imagination of the arrangements, the strength of the compositions, and especially the force of the musicianship make this album transcend its time as well.

psychedelic rock has never sounded better
A few weeks ago Phoebe Bridgers caused a stir amongst boomers rotting away in their reclining arm chairs when she claimed that Eric Clapton sucks. I'm not quite sure I agree with that, since it's impossible to write him out of the rock canon. Does he suck? Taking into consideration the influence of his music and beyond, no.
