Revamped feels less like Lovato trying to contribute to the current popularity of re-records and more like an attempt to rewrite her history, which is her right.
While REVAMPED is enticing enough as a filler project, it doesn’t hold up as a major release.
Revamped is great fun, and fans of both sides of Lovato's sonic personality will appreciate this bonus diversion from the main catalog.

This is as much rock music as Hannah Montana can be considered rock music. As all these songs were ordinary and banal pop songs in their original versions - the same way in the rearranged ones they remained generic. The only difference is that now they were simply played on seven-string guitars and drumkit.
The ex-Disney popstar (Rockstar now?) Demi Lovato is back with an album that appears to be kind of a best of but with only rock versions of her most famous songs! So, what's new there?

These are barely revisited, by only adding guitars and drums to the mix. The vocals, which are a key element of Demi's career and why they're so good, also sound weaker than the originals ... read more
Trying to look quirky on a dress and sneakers again but you are thirty-one years old now.
Demi Lovato fails miserably at releasing an edgy rock album. FOR THE SECOND TIME. But this time around they also take a huge dump on some of the best tracks of their discography in order to follow the trend and profit from their fans' nostalgia à la Taylor Swift.
