Side Effects of You is a lush R&B record, packed with a dazzlingly bright vocal performance from Barrino, and an expertly chosen sound palette as well. It seems to take cues from The-Dream's Love King, Beyonce's 4, and the piano-R&B of Alicia Keys, while never sacrificing Fantasia's fiery personality for even a second. Not one to miss for R&B fans.
