This album along with Neil Young’s ‘After the Gold Rush’, CSN’s ‘Crosby, Stills & Nash’ and Jethro Tull’s ‘Benefit’ marked my growing diversity in recorded music. Black Sabbath was a prohibited subject, let alone a record that could be worked under my parent’s roof. It embodied Satanism something hugely frowned upon in our Catholic household. This is so old-school that the metal has heavy heavy blues influence.... which again makes it really musically interesting. I feel like this album has aged well basically because of the blues, honestly.

Fucking filthy album too.
