Fly or Die Fly or Die Fly or Die ((world war)) is both a pinnacle of that bold creative musical vision and a tantalizing spark of what might have been.
((world war)) may be branch’s last studio work, but it probably won’t be her last album – countless live recordings are out there, and revelations surely await. But it’s a pretty good last testament, regardless – it shows us how to fight and reminds us what we’re fighting for. We won’t forget.
One year after her accidential death this fantastic punk jazz album (with one exception, I fail to understand how one track fits with the others: "The Mountain") was published last week and proves Jaimie's stunning skills as jazz trumpet virtuosa, singer and composer. R.I.P. Jaimie.
I don't know, folks. Sounds pretty damn good to me.
My main critique for now is I think "The Mountain" is pretty weak. I know they slid a little traditional folk song in here on purpose, but it does nothing.
