#499 Rolling Stones, It's a very good soul album, really nice to listen to

this is a pretty solid soul album but it gets a bit repetitive and it leaves me wanting more
favorite: magic in your eyes (9/10)
least favorite: better days (6/10)
overall: 7.1/10

There are moments in life where you just really need some groovy funk/soul music to lift your spirits. Rufus headlined by Chaka Khan fills that craving nicely, but not spectacularly well. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the album is Chaka Khan's vocals, who displays her impressive range and ability to accompany the instrumentals with her voice. She is able to convey many emotions through changes in her timbre making this album a memorable listening experience. It has a great opening track that sets the mood for what is to come and leaves you wanting more, however many of the other songs, while good, seem unnecessarily long.

RS 500 Best Albums
Every song could’ve been like 2 minutes shorter. With that, still an enjoyable record. The drums and bass on this are so so good. Just gets really repetitive. Overall a good album.

A very good, almost perfect soul album. It is the definition of what an album should be, an 8 out of 10. Musically beautiful, with incredible vocals, a little funky, but not innovative, not containing any unexpected and interesting moves or shape-changing tracks. I liked this album and it's really cool and if you love high-quality instrumental music and good vocals, then this album should definitely be in your collection
