From the simple and somber instrumentals to the lo-fi aesthetics to the haunting singing and lyricism, Elliott Smith improves on nearly every aspect of his Roman Candle debut into something of an indie folk masterpiece. The one whom I'm yet to listen until the week previous, and I surely hope I don't make you all furious, but my opinion is probably not as positive as you might expect.
