yuh (in a soft folk way)
RHP’s brand of slowcore is more maximal compared to that of their contemporaries, and yet it’s just as therapeutic as the most hushed of the genre’s greats. Beautiful record.

Standout: Mistress
Favs: Take me out, Dragonflies, Grace Cathedral Park, Strawberry hill, Rollercoaster, Funhouse, Katy Song
Least fav: Mother
Kozelek as lovelorn pup.

I'd like to be able to turn back the clocks, go back and tell that young man things would get easier as he got older and that his spirit would be filled with a newfound lightness as he matured.

I'd have been lying /// Mark Kozelek: the many ages of despair.
perfect album, but as it turns out, terrible person. I'm keeping my score because the album means so much to me personally, but the score is not an endorsement of MK.
