Petrol station bargain rack pap with added “legs out for my big country daddy” album cover appeal.
So... This is the first modern american album I've listened to properly. Given the genre's reputation in the UK, I wasn't totally sure what to expect but I had heard good things about Kacey which is why I wanted to start by listening to her. Overall I found the album to be pretty decent. Her vocals are pretty good here and the production is fine. The lyrics are pretty silly and not anything special though. Favorite tracks are Silver Lining, Merry Go 'Round and Back On The Map.
8-, country never been an interesting genre for me but there's something about Kacey Musgraves that's compele magic.
