There is plenty to be cheery about on this one, thanks to an unabashedly thrashy power metal approach mixed with the folk melodies of vocalist/keyboardist Christopher Bowes. Once again, fun is the name of the game and you'd be hard pressed to avoid running right down to the local watering hole after consuming this one.
Consequence of Sound
Musically, the band is tight and highly creative, for a bunch of barnacle-laden seamen. The production is solid, the lyrics are well written and the Scottish quartet is currently sailing the world according to their MySpace page.
Though their quest for treasure through heinous acts of heavy metal piracy be only just beginning, Alestorm's compass seems pointed closer to Fiddler's Green than Davy Jones's Locker.

Very creative album for a pirate-themed heavy metal album. I can see myself listening to more of this.

i had a crush on a girl called morgan when i was 13 idk why im telling yall this

Some good tracks on here, decent pirate metal.
