I understand the metaphor isn't anything related to abuse and we shouldn't have jumped into that conclussion early but like... can she blame us for misinterpreting? ๐ญ
people assuming this song is literally from jane's perspective isn't surprising, that happens all the time (mitski and pj harvey are a couple more examples of artists i can think of who've had to deal w that)

It is telling when the song is about the music industry, but people gravitate it towards more inappropriate and triggering topics.

definitely a lyrical-focused track and this undoubtedly shows me that jane has matured so much lyrically and vocally. even though those two fronts are beautifully made, i wish more was going on instrumentally, the whole way through it felt too samey
wanna listen SO bad literally obsessed with her music atm but aaaaaaaahhh all the more surprise the album can pack did listen to lips though ITS SO FLIPPING GOOD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
