Top 3 tracks:
- Black Butterflies and Déjà Vu
- How Do You Feel?
- Do You Remember? (The Other Half of 23)
This album is an incredibly personal listen that embodies the summer in which it was released. The light tones and the lyrics and everything is now permanently associated with that time. But even beyond that, the album is the fun, lightweight, well made pop punk that the Maine have built an incredibly fanbase through and this is not an exception. The band has gotten better with every album and I cannot wait to see what next year holds.
I have never heard any of this band's work until I recently stumbled upon this album. Tbh, this is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Right from the beginning, it pulls you in and takes you on an incredible journey. The sound is very refreshing. The highlights on this album, however, are the three interludes and the way they blend right into the next tracks.
Overall, a highly underrated album from 2017.
