This record is pretty immense.
At just under an hour long, it's an epic tale inspired by the Megaman video game series, more specifically the classic ones. This is The Protomen's second album, and functions as a prequel to their debut LP (act one), in which the story of Dr. Light and Dr. Wily is outlined and the setting for the first album is built. I thought that this set an epic tone very well and presented itself as a really great rock opera album. The first half really set a solid tone that didn't quite live up to its hype in the last few songs, but nonetheless, I enjoyed this experience. I might revisit this one again.

the recording is absolutely top notch and boasts the lush production value that would only be matched by ...like clockwork. The genre switch-up in the second half is genius, and the fade into Act I with Here Comes the Arm is one of the most inspired compositional choices i've ever heard.
