At its best this album is simply unstoppable - opener 'Sanctuary' in particular is a force of nature.

The slight weaknesses here are the vocals, which are merely perfunctory, and the fact the album just keeps churning and churning, hitting the same exact sweet spot and wearing down the ol' pleasure receptors.

Still, technically excellent and this release certainly has enough highlights to satisfy.

Im so tired of motherfuckers who say shit like "rock is dead all these new bands suck" and then dont go and look for bands that are actually making good rock in the 21st century.

Awe inspiring. This intoxicating slice of prog, doom, stoner, and psych metal will have you on your knees, no THC required (but encouraged). Elder's masterpiece bobs and weaves like a Tool album, yet knocks you to the ground like a peak Mastodon release. Check it if you remotely enjoy this type of music.

highlights: SANCTUARY, the falling veil, blind, sonntag, thousand hands

lowlight: staving off truth

Crunchy guitars and strong vocals. It feels shorter than it is because of how good this is.
