Much of this album is, unfortunately, still extremely relevant in today's social and political climate. Listen to Plastic Surgery Disasters and you will find commentary on the corrupt pharmaceutical industry, the deteriorating environment, rich assholes, and whatever else makes people depressed. Not sure if the Dead Kennedys were ahead of their time or we are just completely fucked.
i love dead kennedys but why does the lead singer always sound like he's shivering
Why are you such a stupid asshole?
This may be my new favourite punk rock album of all time.

Dead Kennedys is one of those bands who baffle me so much. They do everything that I consider 'wrong' in punk, and yet they pull it off in such a way that I love almost every second of what I'm hearing.

With Plastic Surgery Disasters, the band expands on their off-the-walls sound they experimented with in their EP In God We Trust, Inc, creating a much welcomed full-length album of craziness. I honestly wasn't expecting to like this ... read more
Dead Kennedys were one of those groups that were one of the pioneering acts of punk, but on this record they sound like so much more. It's dark and dooming while stilling having the ruthless intensity and overbearing fastness of Dead Kennedys previous records. At points this album sounds literally insane, sounding like a fast approaching buzzbomb, and we are about to witness it's political explosion.
