Their tenth album accomplishes the rare feat of looking backwards and forwards at the same time, calling back to touchstones from all their major eras and synthesising them into a whole that feels completely new.

Distorted Sound

With Blood, Hair And Eyeballs they have proven that there is plenty of life in them yet and a massive number of ideas still up their collective sleeves to dive into. A triumphant return.

AllMusic

More than just a bright spot in their career, Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs is a beacon of romantic punk defiance.

80
Dork
The sound of a band returning to the peak of their power by doing what they do best.

Kerrang!
Older, wiser and bearing the weight of legacy, these mightn’t be the angry young ghouls we used to know, but they’ve kept hold of their old duffel-bag of sharp implements, and they still know how to use them.

Under the Radar

The band’s signature sound is obviously intact on Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs, but the songs are rendered with such immediacy and melodic intensity that the new wrinkles are amplified and any sameness rendered meaningless.

The Arts Desk
In both theme and sound, it captures their identity while offering new observations.

Brief Review: Really cool to see pop punk vets continuing to put stuff out. Alkalines newest album doesn’t necessarily reach the same highs as they did back in their prime years, but it still carries some nice cuts here and there for the true fans. It delivers on what it’s tasked to, and honestly thats all it needs to be. Last 3 tracks kinda suck, but besides that, this albums a fun time.

I am loving the pop-punk boom this January, especially fitting for our sweltering Australian summer. The Trio, with their beautiful new album right here (their tenth!), has the enduring magic many chase but few find.

Eyeball is a funny word

This sadly didn’t hit as hard as I was hoping it would. There’s are solid riffs and performances but it all still kinda blends together for me. I feel like the drums could hit a bit harder as well. I like this a bit more than the Neck Deep album from a little bit ago, but I’m still not head over heals for the pop punk wave rn. I’m really hoping there’s that one album/band that really gets me though

High quality production but hard to pick out any particular highlights. Good album on a whole though.

Lo que me limita a ponerle un 8/10 son las voces, parecen que estaban aburridos cantando las canciones xD
Pero es un buen trabajo, muy recomendable si te quedaste con ganas de un punk pop más "moderno"

Impressive for a band to be putting out an album of this quality this far into their careers. I'll be surprised if it doesn't end up in my top 10 at the end of the year. Teenage Heart is the standout track for me.
