Liars live show during the dance punk days was an event for sure, and nothing they would do after this would sound quite the same. Sure 'This Dust Makes That Mud' will try your patience, but when the first 7 songs flow so nicely its hard to find fault.
A solid if unremarkable debut that merely hinted at the bold steps the band would take in distancing themselves from the "garage revival" or whatever they had been labeled as in the moment. Still some great stuff, including "Mr. Your On Fire Mr."
