I feel delusional after listening to this. This has srsly no misses. I wasn't intrested in listening but saw Fantano's rating and quickly got into. I didn't enjoy her music before this. But this is very much better. I feel like This LP does something that is just way too Complex. This is AMAZING!!!!!!

The ability to create a powerful and dark album that is both inventive and coherent across all its tracks is quite impressive. The ambiance truly sticks throughout the entire project.

A track on their own is good, but as an album, it got pretty boring

Несмотря на тёмную атмосферу и условно сырой звук, «She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She» не может удивить, потому что за всем готическим фасадом этого проекта скрывается поп-альбом, который надоедает на половине. Возможно, всё дело в моих завышенных ожиданиях, конечно, но даже ... read more

got DAMN

This is my first Chelsea Wolfe record and I'm not sure what I was expecting going in, but it certainly wasn't darkwave industrial rock. I was blown away by this. Chelsea's singing is beautiful, the instrumentation contrasts her vocals incredibly well, and the production is out of this world. It's gonna take a lot to dethrone this as album of the year for me

Favorite Track: Whispers In The Echo Chamber, Everything Turns Blue, or Place In The Sun

Least Favorite Track: None

It's the first time I stumbled upon Chelsea Wolfe''s work and I already am self-assured that this thing is going to place highly on my year's best list. It's just that there are no weak points, no Achilles's heel, nothing I would like to critic or disparage. dark, weirdly energizing and ominous production mixed with Chelsea's pitch-perfect, soft and delicate voice create this elevating experience what I just can't get enough of.

We can also hear elements of trip hop being mellowly added to the ... read more

Alright. I think that the whole electronica & synth sound thingy is a great idea. If they're done really well, i always feel like i'm hypnotised. But first off: the vocals are really nice - she's perfected her ghostly chanting~ And some songs' dread comes together really well, too, with slow instrumental builds, her fitting vocals and the abrasive industrial-ish droning.

Well, i did mean "some songs", though. Mostly, the songs are too low-key for really towering over me. (like ... read more

This feels like something that needs multiple listens, so this probably isn't my final rating. As of now i think its impressive and I love a lot of the songs but I don't really get any bigger picture or anything. Again, I will relisten soon to see if it improves

Chelsea Wolfe has a knack for sucking you into the sound scaling creating a chilling, yet comforting worlds of sounds.

It feels like stepping into a haunted cathedral. Absolutely enthralling production mixed with her haunting voice which at times, moves at a crawl. Even at the worst, the production still keeps you in the world, a few lackluster choruses is the worst of it (aside from that production in Eyes Like Nightshade which I don’t like).

Some of the slower, more ambient and atmospheric tracks don't do the heavy lifting required to keep you fully engaged with that type of music, so at times I found myself falling out of it. Still, when this hits, it hits hard. "House of Self-Undoing", the build in "Tunnel Lights", and the outro of the last track "Dusk" are prime examples of this.

Favorites: House Of Self-Undoing, Unseen World, Eyes Light Nightshade, Tunnel Lights, Dusk, The Liminal

Chelsea Wolfe delivers an expertly crafted dark wave / industrial album that feels both slick and wicked in its sound with Chelsea's dramatic vocals slicing through to make this one of the most thrilling listens this year

Every single song goes unbelievably hard. The production, the vocals, everything. This is just a FANTASTIC album from one of the greatest artists in the genre.

And so begins part one of my big titty goth girl phase. Catch me out back of the Dunkin' Donuts in my Bahaus t-shirt, black tartan miniskirt and slightly ripped fishnets, you sexy little doomer you

I get the gothic vibe Chelsea is going for here, and I think she executes it very well, it's just that I’m not a fan of this vibe in the first place. Whispers in an Echo Chamber sounds like goth Imagine Dragons, and though I do like some of the production, the vocal effects on Chelsea’s voice and her delivery ruin it. House of Self-Undoing kicks ass, and I wasn’t expecting it after the lacklustre opening. The drums on this second song are incredible and capture the edge ... read more

sounds like a dark wave version of billie eilish's old music, just a good trip pop industrial album

Really really really great mix of cinematic intensity and space, something that's so confrontational sounding while using such sparse pathways to get to that. There could be like seemingly 4 things in the mix and still this record could achieve a full maximalist sound despite it. And not to mention the voice of chelsea wolfe is filled with anguish so commanding of your attention but in such a way that calls out rather than approaches. I've mentioned just how grand this album is but chelsea ... read more
