High Voltage is the blueprint they've followed all their career.
It was fair warning of the band's mission ... and ruthless method, meaning no ballads or harmonies.
The guitars of brothers Angus and Malcolm Young bark at each other, Phil Rudd swings the beat even as he’s pulverizing his kick drum, and Scott brings the raunch ‘n’ wail.
It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll - one of ac/dc’s most underrated hits. Apart from a few bangers, my main gripe with this album is the lack of new concepts. A lot of the songs feel like generic rock songs. But it's crazy to think that even with their first album, AC/DC already had talented musicians and a good singer. They were just missing a proper musical identity.
