Good

Wasn't expecting to enjoy almost every song on here, as most reviews say that it's a forgettable group of tracks, even for a debut. What I enjoyed so much about this album was its use of mood throughout, as the key of each song seems very close in relation with each other. Really enjoyed myself with this one.

Color: Purple
FAV TRACKS: Son and Daughter, Keep Yourself Alive, Doing Alright, My Fairy King, Liar
LEAST FAV: Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll

Queen's first self titled album is a pretty good debut and overall is an entertaining album, but I can't really say that I care for it. It's clearly nothing compared to what they ended up creating in further projects, and there really isn't anything truly amazing on here. This is just a fun and inoffensive album.

Favourite Tracks: Liar; Keep Yourself Alive; Jesus; Great King Rat

Least Favourite Track: Seven Seas Of Rhye

"The Night Comes Down" uma música que talvez não tenha potencial, ... read more

And progressive and hard rock and huge and glamorous and desperately seeking for attention.

Queen's self-titled debut album is a pretty good collection of rockin' tracks. You get a lot of elements that would contribute to the sound that they'd become familiar with over the next couple of decades. It's only bogged down by the band's take on progressive rock, which while they'd do better with later on, it doesn't exactly feel like the Queen you know. The sound lacks a stand-out identity, and some of the lyrics could've been fleshed out better. Still, it's a solid foundation for this ... read more

Melhores momentos: Keep yourself alive
Piores momentos: My fair king

Melhores músicas: Doing All Right e Liar

Underwhelming debut, but the foundation to their later albums is present.

What an impressive debut. It's somehow got the charisma and style of Queen's later records with even more emphasis on pure, unadulterated, and fun as hell rock and roll. It's much more complex and intricate of a listen then the more popular Queen albums, but this is still very much worthy of the bands royal status.

Favorite Jams: Doing All Right, Liar, Son and Daughter

Lest Favorite: Seven Seas of Rhye
