Pretty Much Amazing

With a style all her own and a unique voice – both musically and lyrically – expect Lorde’s “false confidence” to become real confidence fairly soon. 

The EP, which includes her signature hit, finds the Kiwi chanteuse offering up five evocative, electro-pop meditations on life, love, and the eternal joys and pains of youth, providing a sultry, sinewy soundtrack to summer that will likely draw comparisons to artists like Sky Ferreira, Florence + the Machine, Lana Del Ray, and Grimes.
I will never not defend Lorde and her music. Since she dropped Royals in 2013, I was unsure of her. It was overplayed on the radio, but once I actually took the time to listen to her other material, I was in love. Aside from Biting Down, The Love Club EP is perhaps her most consistent release. In the midst of waiting for some news of L3, I've taken the liberty of reviewing lorde's past work and analyzing how much shes grown as an artist, and what a growth it is.
