Illadelph Halflife, the third album from The Roots, brings in plenty more traditional hip hop sounds and a much grittier feel compared to the loose and relaxed Do You Want More?!!!??! without sacrificing a shred of the quality from that outing. Although not my favorite The Roots record, Illadelph Halflife is still a great record by the group offering a more smooth and mellow soundscape which they incorporate well within they style for great lyrics and the production truly outshining. With so many amazing features and classic tracks from the east coast hip hop scene, such as What They Do, Clones and Respond / React., I am nether suprised to see why it is a lot of people;s favorite The Roots record.

Gave this a relisten and it's just as amazing as I remember. Honestly one of the best produced hip-hop albums full stop and possibly my favourite Roots album as well. Top tier stuff

Fav Track: Clones
