Vulnerable yet powerful, and beautiful in an imperfect way. The rhymes match the production throughout Shadows on the Sun: an audio painting from an inspiring artist.

Great wordplay and storytelling front to back, Brother Ali is undeniably a very skilled rapper, but I have never cared for Ant's production style, imo it's ridiculously bland. His beats vary from being obnoxious and corny to being void of any noteworthy characteristics at all, and it makes this album be significantly less engaging than it could be. The album is still definitely a quality project, but it didn't manage to completely enthral me.
