Viking metal in it's purest form. Mixing melo-death and power metal together creates an effective listening experience. My enjoyment of this record is only marred by the "norse bros" that swarm all over this shit, and to me they are just bearded posers. Even still separating this record from that, you'll have a good time.
Ok this one is not that bad. I like it actually. The pop formula inspired death metal record suits them well.
Twilight of the Thunder God is Amon Amarth at the peak of their songwriting powers.
Looking back on their career from the brink of the 2020s, this seems to be an obvious and near-unanimous conclusion.
