Some real solid pop punk from my local area. I think this album has its obvious limitations but as a whole listening experience is Alkaline Trio working very tightly together. Fuck You Aurora is a real highlight on this record.
Despite this one growing on me after repeated listens, it still feels like a step down from their debut.
That being said, there are still plenty of highlights here. Tracks like "Keep 'Em Coming", "Madam Me", "Fuck You Aurora", and "Radio" are up there as some of Alkaline Trio's best songs. Will always love this record. It's so much more raw but yet so dialed in. I love Matt's voice over this music and the lyrics have always hit me more personally, it's articulated perfectly like it's the way I also think to write. Good speed at times, great feeling. Amazing band.
